The Division of Developmental Disabilities, part of the New Jersey Department of Human Services, has a wide range of services for qualified residents with developmental disabilities and their families.
You may qualify for DDD services
If you have any of these conditions: Mental retardation, Epilepsy, Spina bifida, Cerebral palsy, Autism, Neurological impairment
if this condition was discovered before age 22 and is expected to be permanent: and

Do you want to join the work force and get job coaching on site? We can help people find employment. |

Are you interested in learning vocational and personal skills and being more independent? We can offer training. |

Could you use a break from your caregiving duties for a few hours or even several days? We can provide respite. |

Are there items or services that would help you and your family? We can give cash subsidies. |
|
|
Do you need other assistance such as guardianship, therapy or recreation? We have a wide range of supports. |

| Is living at home a problem? We can offer in-home support or, if necessary, seek a new living arrangement, |
To apply for services from DDD
• Call the Intake Unit of the DDD Office serving your county. Staff will meet with you to determine if you qualify for DDD. If so, we'll assign a case manager to discuss services offered in your area and help you to select the right ones.
